Default Best Axe Elite ( help plz! )

so ok, Im dropping the sword along with Dragon Slash and Quivering blade, sick and tired of sword. back in the early days I would use Axe and now I hear Eviscerate is not as good anymore thus leaves me with triple chop..what is best for a all-rounder axe War nowadays?

Decapitate?
Cleave?
Triple Chop?
Evis?

the best damage elite for axes (overall) is still probably eviscerate. decapitate can be a bit unwieldy with its conditions, but does the most damage out of any warrior attack skill.

depends on your style i suppose. if you're interested in taking out single targets, then it's eviscerate. if you want to fight/tank mobs, then triple chop.

You using this for pvp or pve? Though really, it just comes down to triple chop or evis. If you are going to use cleave, you may as well stick to sword for quivering. And decap is pretty unwieldy if you're lazy. Maybe in gvg with good coordination and handy weap swaps, but if general pve then its a bit too much effort in my opinion.

the answer your question is simple...

cleave/tripple chop for PvE...tripple chop is very handy for farming and the low adreneline cost of cleave gives good dps.

eviscerate for PvP...decent spike damage with eviscerate followed by critical chop

the sheer power of decapitate is great for PvP, but you lose all adreniline and energy making it nearly useless...unless you can find a practical counter to the big loss.

I would say Eviscrete in always even for farming as being the best Elite for Axe Like Dragon Slash is for sword.

Imo: Evicerate hands down!

but again, it all comes down to your style of play, I sugst you try them all out and see which one you like more.

I Eviscerate is probably the best because it's such a potent spike however in pve I don't notice too much of difference between Cleave and Eviscerate

imho, i prefer to run Cleave, 4 adren for +30 dmg is a god send, and if u time it correctly with an IAS you can get 2 off and a dismember in a 9 sec stretch of BoA for example.

But really they all have particular uses.

Ever since [wiki]Eviscerate[/wiki] got it's damage reduced I've been sticking with [wiki]Triple Chop[/wiki]. Before the nerf [wiki]Eviscerate[/wiki] was like doing [wiki]Executioner's Strike[/wiki] + [wiki]Dismember[/wiki] in one hit.

Now I just use [skill]Triple Chop[/skill] + [skill]Dismember[/skill] + [skill]Executioner's Strike[/skill]. I don't have a high energy build so I can spam Trip Chop whenever it becomes available which is faster than Eviscerate especially if the foe is kiting.

but remember u take away 1 strike of adren from all adren skills when u use cleave. this cause ur other skills to be used less often.

imo eviscerate is the best so far. and decapitate is a joke.

[skill]Triple Chop[/skill] + [skill]Dismember[/skill] + [skill]Executioner's Strike[/skill] = really high dps

I love Tripple Chop, but the problem with it is that it misses when you try to attack moving targets!!

so annoying...

[skill]Triple Chop[/skill] [skill]Cyclone Axe[/skill] [skill]Dismember[/skill] [skill]Executioner's Strike[/skill]

These are the first 4 skills on my bar always and they seem to turn out really nice DPS. I usually add a rez, an attack buff like Flurry or Frenzy, heal sig and an optional slot that I'll throw a speed buff or defensive stance or some nice 2ndary profession skill as the situation warrants.

Note: this is PvE mainly.

for PvE my choice is Whirling Axe... highest single skill damage over time in the game.

For single targets, Eviscerate... Even in PvE. However, Triple Chop is usually better for PvE since you will usually be able to hit several targets.

I find it interesting that even with all the replies in this thread only one guy has actually asked if it's for pve or pvp.
Even more amusing is that the original poster hasn't even replied to that question.

This is like asking what is the best monk elite that i should use everywhere no matter the circumstances.

Bah. *Steps away from this thread*
